The Festival of Colors Collection Challenge is available during the current Pokémon Go event, so, if you'd like to add it to your Elite Collector medal, you must complete it before Sunday, 20th March at 8pm (local time).

Here are the Pokémon you need to find for the Festival of Colors Collection Challenge:

• Slugma - In the wild
• Trapinch - In the wild
• Drowzee - In the wild and field research task (Take a snapshot of a wild Pokémon)
• Turtwig - In the wild
• Horsea - In the wild
• Taillow - In the wild
• Gligar - In the wild
• Oricorio - In the wild and field research task (Catch 10 different species of Pokémon)

Completing this challenge will reward you with 20,000 XP, 3000 Stardust and Oricorio encounter. Remember - the Oricorio style you'll receive will depend on the region you complete the Collection Challenge in.

The Season of Mythical Wishes has seen Kecleon finally being released in Pokémon Go! The Crackling Voltage event is currently running and it has brought as a new Team Go Rocket quest - Shadowy Skirmishes! The team lineups for Giovanni and the Team Go Rocket Leaders has also changed. Don't forget to partake in the new Go Battle League season. Elsewhere, be sure to use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance of encountering Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres. This incense may also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

Festival of Colors field research tasks in Pokémon Go

Spinning PokéStops during the Festival of Colors in Pokémon Go will allow you to collect field research tasks exclusive to this event.

Though these tasks can be saved and completed after the event, we recommend completing some during the event, because a number of the Pokémon rewards you earn will help you complete the Festival of Colors Collection Challenge.

Here are the Festival of Colors field research tasks:

• Hatch an egg reward - Alolan Grimer
• Catch 5 Fire-type Pokémon reward - Charmander encounter or 20 Charizard Mega Energy
• Catch 5 Grass-type Pokémon reward - Bulbasaur encounter or 20 Venusaur Mega Energy
• Catch 5 Water-type Pokémon reward - Squirtle encounter or 20 Blastoise Mega Energy
• Catch 5 different species of Pokémon reward - Castform encounter
• Catch 8 different species of Pokémon reward - Burmy encounter
• Catch 10 different species of Pokémon reward - Oricorio encounter (Form depends on region)

The Festival of Colors event is running until Sunday, 20th March at 8pm (local time) and, with it, comes a new Gen 7 Pokémon to Pokémon Go - Oricorio.

Oricorio has four different forms which are each inspired by a different dance style found across the world; Pa'u Style Oricorio is inspired by hula, for example, while Baile Style is inspired by flamenco. Each Oricorio style also has a different typing - Sensu Style is a ghost and flying-type Pokémon, while Pom-Pom Style is an electric and flying-type.

In Pokémon Go, the Oricorio styles have been divided across the world making it the first regionally exclusive Pokémon for Gen 7. This means, if you want to collect all four Oricorio forms, you need to either visit or trade with players from different regions.

The Oricorio style for your region will be appearing more frequently in the wild during the Festival of Colors event, along with the following Pokémon:

• Alomomola
• Fletchling

Meanwhile, in five-star raids, you'll be able to battle Therian Forme Tornadus and Mega Lopunny has returned to Mega Raids.

In one-star raids, you'll find Jigglypuff, Torchic, Treecko, Mudkip and Rockruff, while Marowak, Alolan Marowak, Chansey, Umbreon and Druddigon are in three-star raids.
